The markIR miniature Mid-Wave (2μm to 6μm) blackbody source -  from Ion Optics Inc

The markIR Tuned Band Emitter uses a two-dimensional photonic crystal structure to tune and confine the IR emission   to the spectral region of interest. This device has two elements capable of being powered together (in series or parallel configuration) or separately. Each 1.5 x 3 mm element has a resistance of 150 ohms and requires 3V and 20 mA to operate.
