Ion-Optics Inc (represented in the UK by Metax Ltd) known for their high intensity miniature IR Sources) have released a new miniature collimated pulsed infrared radiator.

The new 'ReflectIR' series of electrically pulsed infrared sources is designed for applications requiring high intensity  infrared power along a narrow optical path.  In this new package design the integrated parabolic reflector focuses the output from the emitter to maximize on-axis infrared power. These sources feature a low thermal mass emitter treated for high emissivity in the infrared, making them ideally suited to non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) measurements with pyroelectric or thermopile detectors.
