 SR-33-4A Extended Area Blackbody

for Calibration of Remote Human Temperature  Monitoring Systems

(Example: SARS Reference Application)

CI Systems is offering a special Blackbody for use as reference and Calibration tool for IR Cameras that are used at Airports for SARS Detection. The Blackbody is emissivity optimized for this application and is being used as a reference in the process of measuring the Temperature of a Human body.     The Blackbody has 3 preset Temperatures per customer’s request in the range of 30 to 45ºC Degrees.

This absolute temperature blackbody was developed for the purpose of calibrating thermal imagers used for human temperature monitoring. It was originally developed for a medical application and is now modified for the purpose of calibrating the thermal-imagers used for detection of individuals with higher-then-normal body temperature, as part of the steps taken to prevent the spread of the SARS disease.

Features:

Fully integrated unit – controller, power supply, heater head and control switches in one compact design.
Simulates the emissivity of the human skin.
4” by 4” heater area – filling the FOV of most thermal-images and allows for real time comparison of target and blackbody.
3 user-selectable preset temperatures allow for convenient and time-saving calibration of thermal-imagers
Cost effective
